The Al-Azhar campus is situated in Perumpillichira, Kumaramangalam Panchayath, 3 KMs from Thodupuzha town, is under NIT. The foundation stone was laid on 21st February, 2002 by Janab Nalakath Sooppy, former Minister for Education, who was keenly aware of the need of the backward communities.
Al-Azhar College of Arts & Science started functioning with first batch of admissions during the year 2003.
